A Virtual Private Network Gets Your Work Distributed Safely
Posted by in Virtual Private Network
So you just shot your big pilot, edited everything perfectly, showed it to your staff and actors for one last look and are ready to shop it around to networks. Some places want you to come in and show them in a meeting, but others don’t have time for that. They just want you to send them the file so they can look at it at their own leisure. You are already to click send but then it dawns on you. Are your files, well, safe? How many stories have you heard of pilots getting leaked on the internet before even getting approved for a time slot? Often directors re-write the entire pilot anew so that it ends up being a surprise when it airs, but that costs time and money that you don’t have.
You can avoid the entire fiasco by having a virtual private network. You can tunnel information past firewalls so you have no problem getting it where you have to go. But most importantly, the material itself is encrypted and won’t be leaked because it’s going directly to who it needs to. Isn’t it good to know all your hard work is safe?
